Ilan was born in Argentina on shvat 14 tshsd, February 6, 2004, the son of Adriana and David Cohen and the younger brother of Esther and Meir. Ilan grew up to be a young man who dedicated his life to Torah, the Land of Israel and charity.
He volunteered in the community, helped pack and distribute food to the needy, and even blew the shofar for those who could not come to the synagogue during the Covid period.

His love for learning was evident from an early age – from geography and history to Jewish texts and philosophy.
After graduating from high school, he immigrated to Israel, studied in a yeshiva and enlisted in the IDF as a lone soldier, where he served with pride and dedication in the Paratroopers Brigade.

Ilan fell in battle during “Iron Swords” War in May 2024.
He was known for his optimism, depth of thought and warm personality, and touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
